$2 from every burger will be donated to the United Way of Thunder Bay.

Welcome to the tastiest time of the year; it’s Novemburger!

All month long, you can try unique burger creations from eateries across Thunder Bay. Who has the best Novemburger? That’s for you to decide!

Once you’ve tried your fair share of burgers, come back here and vote for your favourite! Whichever restaurant has the most votes at the end of the month will be crowned Top Novemburger of the Year!

And don’t forget your Passport! Grab a Novemburger Passport at your first location to keep track of how many burgers you try out. If you get at least 5 stamps, you’re eligible to become a Novemburger Ambassador next year! That means free burgers and bragging rights!

The best part is that every time you purchase a Novemburger, $2 is donated back to the United Way to support local programming. Check out our regional investments to see some of the programs we help to fund.

The Frontier BBQ Burger: Madhouse’s locally produced 8oz beef patty, aged Thunder Oak Gouda, maple bacon & sautéed onions smothered in their house made Bulleit Bourbon BBQ sauce, all on a toasty Kaiser bun.

The Sal

A cheeseburger drenched in The Sal’s house made Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce, with bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and mayo, all atop a Cheeto-crusted Roma bakery bun.

Beefcake’s Burger Factory

A 4 oz Smashburger with truffle scented garlic aioli, shredded lettuce, house made sour pickles, smeared with date and fig bacon jam on a potato, onion and cheddar roll.

Gateway Casino

The Candied Bacon Black & Blue Burger: A blackened 6oz locally made beef and pork patty with candied bacon, blue cheese, and pickled red onions, topped with lettuce, tomato and a tasty Cajun mayo.

Bonobo’s Food

The Jalapeño Mac n Chz Burger: A Mac n Chz patty, topped with smoky maple BBQ sauce and crispy fried jalapeños, smothered in caramelized onion and “bacon” aioli. 100% Vegan!

Red Lion Smokehouse

The Prospector Coney Burger: 2 ¼ lb patties with cheese, quick pickled onions, mustard, pickles, and Prospector Coney Sauce.


A bulgogi marinated patty, with cucumber salad pickled carrot, gochujang pork belly, Korean mayo, and house made kimchi.

Skal (Valhalla)

A 6 oz. juicy beef patty topped with house-made aioli, bacon marmalade, crisp lettuce, tomato and cheddar cheese. Served with fresh fries.

The Foundry

The Aussie Burger: An all-beef patty, topped with pickled beets, jalapeño, banana peppers, panko goat cheese crevette, arugula, and lime aioli, all atop a homemade sesame seed bun.

Anchor & Ore (Delta)

The 50/50 Burger: A beef and bacon patty topped with black truffle cheddar, lettuce, tomato and Marriott Moe Sauce, all served on their unique house-baked black brioche bun.

Bight Restaurant & Bar

A Mac-style burger with two Tarrymore beef patties, topped with cheddar cheese, diced onion, pickles, shredded lettuce and creamy thousand island sauce on a tasty milk bun.

El Tres

The Burgeritto: A 4 oz patty with Chihuahua Cheese, onion, jalapeño, chipotle mayo and pico de gallo. Don’t forget the side of Tater Tots!

Java Hut

The Mushroom and Swiss Burger: An in-house made 6 oz. patty, topped with mixed sautéed mushrooms and white onions, Dijon mayo sauce, and lettuce (if available).
