Spring & Summer Events

The Chronicle Journal Charity Golf Classic takes place on Thursday, June 4th at Chapples Golf Course, followed by dinner and reception at Best Western Nor’Wester Hotel. All proceeds from this event go to support the United Way of Thunder Bay, the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Foundation, and Red Cross Thunder Bay.  We are seeking volunteers to help run putting contests and various tasks on the course, as well to assist with the Silent Auction at the reception. Please contact Caitlyn if you're able to help, 626-1759 cphirbny@uwaytbay.ca.

There is also still room for teams to register, as well as event sponsorship opportunities. For more information on this event and how to register go to https://www.uwaytbay.ca/news-events/events/chronicle-journal-golf/

GenNext's 4th Annual Day of Caring Presented by Bombardier brings together dedicated individuals and local not-for-profit organizations for a fun day of volunteering to benefit our community! Hundreds of volunteers will leave their wallets at home and donate their time and skills to help complete projects for not-for-profit organizations.

With several different projects we have a great need for volunteers of all kinds! Join as an individual or with friends, family and co-workers as a team. Then get ready to get your hands dirty and make a difference in the community! Volunteer application forms are available at https://www.uwaytbay.ca/news-events/events/4th-annual-day-caring/

Interested in making a big impact? Many companies offer Corporate Volunteer Matching programs where they'll provide a monetary donation in exchange for their employees getting involved in the community. Check with your corporate philosophy to see if putting in a team through work can help gain extra funds to make your efforts go further.

United Way of Thunder Bay is leading the way to a better community by improving the quality of life for all local people. By collaborating with community partners, we are leading the way to addressing social issues in our community and investing in three critical areas: Poverty, Kids and Strong Communities. Donations to the United Way are strategically invested across Thunder Bay to many vital programs and initiatives in these areas, creating a social safety net that works to achieve lasting change for our neighbours, families and friends.
