Pope John Paul II 8-8 Class gives to United Way
Earlier this fall students from Pope John Paul II School hosted their 2nd annual battery drive fundraising event at Thunder Bay Auto Parts. For every motor vehicle battery donated, Thunder Bay Auto Parts gave $3 to the student's efforts to support the United Way of Thunder Bay! The students collected more than 11, 500 household batteries, as well as numerous wet cell batteries which resulted in a $200 donation to the local charity!
Along with teacher Maria Racco and Michael Racco of Thunder Bay Auto Parts, Pope John Paul II School Class 8-8 students Tyler Herman, Katelyn Frasca, Danielle Helfrich, and Nicholas Blake presented United Way Assistant Director Jered Zieroth with their cheque.
Behind every changed life is someone who made it happen. We are very proud of these students for their efforts to help their neighbours, friends, and families though their support of the United Way. Together, we are possibility!
