GenNext's 5th Annual Day of Caring

GenNext is excited for our 5th Annual Day of Caring!

Day of Caring brings together dedicated individuals and local not-for-profit organizations for a fun day of volunteering to benefit our community! Hundreds of volunteers donate their time and skills to help complete projects for local not-for-profit organizations. In 2015 our event had over 225 volunteers helping to complete 26 projects for local not for profit organizations. Join us this year to make a huge impact and be engaged in our community!

Check back here often for updates and ways to get involved!

We'd love to help you do the work that you do! Click on the right to complete a "Request for Project". Once your project is submitted, our committee will connect with you to determine the scope of the project and begin to prepare for the June 18th event! On the day of the event we'll have a team of volunteers eagerly help you by completing your project to the best of their abilities! Past projects have included jobs such as cleaning up neighbourhoods, planting gardens, painting (inside and out), cleaning up offices, volunteering at special day long events/client service projects, helping to prepare meals, and much more!

Please keep in mind that we try very hard to collect sponsorships prior to event to help cover some costs that may be associated with some projects, but this cannot be guaranteed. Projects must be submitted prior to Friday, May 20th.

Great! We've got plenty of ways you can get engaged as a business! Click to the right of the page to see sponsorships available. These sponsorships go towards the costs of the day including hosting the volunteer breakfast, providing the volunteers with a hearty lunch, as well as helping to provide funds to complete the projects themselves!

Another great way you can get engaged is by submitting a Corporate Team to complete a project! What a wonderful opportunity to have you and your employees help a local organization hands on. We encourage all volunteers to check with their employers to see if they have programs which provide funds for hours employees volunteer, which can be used to further help local programs after the event!

Click right to signup as a volunteer for the event! Volunteers are matched to projects based on skills, group size, and general interest. The week leading up the the event you'll receive more information about teams and projects and what to expect on the day of the event.

*Please note: volunteers must be pre-registered prior to the day of the event to take part
