The United Way of Thunder Bay is excited to step outside-of-the-box and bring Thunder Bay the ‘RECOVER 2020 NO-SHOW GALA’ this fall, presented by IG Wealth Management & Lowerys, to help kick-start our 2020 Annual United Way Campaign. 

The United Way RECOVER 2020 campaign is focused on supporting local people and families who are most in need. It’s about neighbours helping neighbours and community supporting community.

Prior to COVID-19, Thunder Bay was already struggling to tackle #UNIGNORABLE issues of poverty including homelessness, hunger, domestic violence, social isolation, mental health challenges and unemployment & education inequality.

With the COVID-19 crisis ongoing, Thunder Bay organizations and service providers need extra help to deliver essential programs and services to people as the need for support has increased drastically.

We are offering this unique opportunity to all our past event participants, contributors and community members to join us by NOT attending the ‘RECOVER 2020 NO-SHOW GALA’, presented by IG Wealth Management & Lowerys. Show your support and contribute in a meaningful way (in lieu of attending our live in-person events this year).

As workplaces, businesses and communities slowly reopen, we urge you to consider those who need an extra helping hand to recover.

The doors will NOT open at 6 P.M. / Dinner will NOT be served at 7 P.M. / CEO, Albert Brule will NOT speak at 8 P.M. / NO one will dance until midnight

The non-event concept: 

You’re encouraged to add up the expenses you’d normally incur to attend a gala, and instead donate those funds directly to United Way of Thunder Bay to support programming and initiatives for local charities in our city.
